Hi,

a user reported a problem syncing contact lists from turba to thunderbird
using carddav. The name of the contact list shows in thunderbird, but
it contains no addresses and no connections to the the contacts.

Is this a missing feature, or a bug?

Tested with:

Turba 4.2.11
Horde 5.2.8

Thunderbird 38.2

IIRC, it has been mentioned here that the version of SabreDAV included
with current versions of Horde does not support contact lists.
Therefore, there is no way that sycing contact lists could possibly
work via CardDAV with current versions of Turba.

However, I also think I recall seeing a commit on Github recently that
seems to include support for SabreDAV 2 in Horde. So it might be
possible to do this with Horde 6. Alas, on the Thunderbird side, I
don't think there is support available for contact lists in the CardDAV
adapter. But I might be mistaken there, I didn't check with the status
of the Sogo connector for a while.

It's actually the vCard version that lacks support for distribution
lists, not the SabreDAV version. We don't support vCard 4.0 in Turba
yet.
